About this course

The Cybersecurity Specialist promotes and implements the appropriate and secure use of ICT resources through the implementation of the organisation’s information security policy.

Learning objectives

You will acquire knowledge and skills to:

• implement information security practices and policies that characterise the Information Security Management System from an infrastructure, service and data management perspective;
• continuously monitor and measure the security levels of ICT resources, managing any vulnerabilities;
• contribute to security, awareness and compliance practices by providing support, information and training.

• assess the risks, threats and consequences for information security and take appropriate action;
• instruct on good practices and correct working procedures to ensure information security;
• provide technical validation of security tools;
• implement, configure and manage security operating tools;
• contribute to the promotion of standards and the application of information security procedures among users;
• identify and rectify security vulnerabilities;
• monitor security developments to ensure the continued efficiency and effectiveness of information security processes and controls;
• proactively assess new threats and counter potential security incidents;
• implement security techniques on applications, processes, networks and systems related to their area of responsibility.
